Linear motion machines are often used for degritting, trash, safety, and dewatering applications. Downhill machines are primarily designed for sizing, and the new SuperStacker has been specifically designed to close grinding circuits and replace hydrocyclones. Superior classification by screening has many benefits including increased recovery, reduction in slimes and overgrinding, and decreased reagent consumption for downstream float plant classification. Machines are sized and recommended based on the amount of oversized material, particle size distributions, cut point, particle shape, and slurry density. Derrick’s non-blinding urethane panels are available in a variety of sizes from 10 mm down to 45 microns.
